libtango8 software package provides TANGO distributed control system - shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtango8
libtango8 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtango8 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtango8 *
You will get with libtango8 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
